About the Authors

Janet Peterson earned B.A. and M.A. degrees in English from Brigham Young University and has written extensively for the Church magazines. She and LaRene Gaunt have co-authored biographies of the presidents of the Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary organizations. Janet has served in each of these organizations and is currently serving as a member of the Correlation Committee (Materials Evaluation). She and her husband, Larry, have six children and twelve grand children.

LaRene Gaunt has served as a president, a teacher, and a visiting teacher in Relief Society. She recived a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and is an accredited genealogist, a photographer, and an artist. In addition to co-authoring six books, LaRene has worked as an editor at the Ensign magazine since 1990. She and her husband, David, are the parents of three children.
